Dave Gorman, the man behind hit show Modern Life Is Goodish as well as Are You Dave Gorman? and Googlewhack Adventure, is back on the road with a new live show, kicking off with two warm-up, work-in-progress gigs at the Merlin Theatre in Frome this September.

Frome's much-loved community venue continues its established model of providing a welcome home to well-known comedians looking to polish their acts at the start of a tour.

Merlin marketing manager, Tracey Ashford, said: "As this is a relatively small auditorium it can be tough to get the big names to Frome as they usually play to thousands of people, not 240.

"But the theatre has very much become home to comics looking to polish their shows before hitting the road.

"We are never surprised to hear that the likes of previous guests, including Russel Howard, Jo Brand, Allan Carr and Michael McIntyre, find Frome audiences one of the most welcoming crowds."

With Great PowerPoint Comes Great ResponsibilityPoint will be performed as a work-in-progress and, as the title suggests, Dave Gorman will be bringing his laptop and projector screen with him so expect the "King of Powerpoint comedy" (Guardian) to have more detailed analysis of those parts of life you've never stopped to think about before; not all heroes wear capes...

Described in national press as "…a near foolproof delivery system for jokes" (The Guardian) and "Dave Gorman is funny and brilliant in equal measure" (The Times), Frome audiences can buy tickets for 21st or 22nd September online via the Merlin website or at the box office 01373 465949 and at the stage door during weekday mornings.
