A popular venue in the centre of Frome re-opened and has a brand new look menu to sit alongside a new way of serving.

As Nub News was shown in the video above, every customer gets a personal greeting at the door, and then they will be escorted to their table, and either order via an App or a waitress will serve them.

23 Bath Street walked us through the new way of getting a drink at the popular bar and events venue which has a large outdoor space.

While the drinks menu remains the same as before lockdown, the new food menu has been designed over the past 102 days. For safety reasons the menus are now laminated so they are taken away from the table each time a customer places an order and they are then wiped down.

There are many more levels of safety and security in place to reassure customers, but as Manager Craig Webber told Nub News in many respects 23 Bath Street is lucky.

Being a busy and popular events venue mean that they are used to dealing with big crowds, and because they have a lot of space, including outdoor options and a roof terrace, social distancing is easier. They have even managed to put in a one way system to the toilets.

They didn't need to invest in perspex for the bar because no one will be going to the bar to order and because they are used to hosting bands, they have the space to rearrange seats.

23 Bath Street is open from 11am until 11pm - but this is subject to change if the management find better ways of working through the coronavirus easing.

Craig spoke to reassure customers: " We have done everything we can to ensure your safety. We have addressed one way systems, we have cleaning points, distancing, and our staff have all undergone training. We would love to see you back."
