Are you an experienced Estimator looking to bring your skills to a well-established and growing structural steel business? Our client, a reputable steel fabrication company based in the Southwest, is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Estimator to join their commercial team.

You'll be working on a wide range of steel projects-from industrial units and portal frames to complex multi-storey structures. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to take more ownership of the tendering process, with support to grow into a more senior role over time.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for structural steelwork projects
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Liaise with clients, main contractors, engineers, and suppliers to gather pricing and technical information
  • Conduct material take-offs and prepare cost breakdowns for labour, materials, and subcontractors
  • Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative solutions
  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings where required
  • Support handover to the contracts team and assist with procurement planning
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating within structural steel, construction, or a related sector
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection processes, and associated costs
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Commercially aware with strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
