Did you know there was a castle in Frome? Well there is now

Oh my goodness - this is the incredible work of one knitter in Frome - not a castle in the air but very real - and astounding.

What is more incredible is that the knitter who created it suffers from Macular Degeneration, which makes her work even more incredible.

Before coronavirus Pat regularly made and sold toys to raise money for the Macular Society. Obviously this has been scuppered by the current circumstances which is sad as she's always been so passionate about it.

She is still hoping to get money for her favourite charity - you can donate by clicking (your knitting needles) HERE :

We heard about Pat's story from our favourite Frome yarn shop.

Nicky Jerome from the Frome Yarn Collective told us: " Pat was a long-standing customer of Marmalade Yarns (the shop's previous incarnation) and totally embraced everything I was doing when I took over, regularly checking up on me during the refit and seeing what new yarn we were getting in (and which of her favourites we were keeping).

" I was mindful that long-standing customers might find the transition difficult, and I'm sure Pat did, but she only ever welcomed and encouraged me and has continued to do so. So I am incredibly fond of Pat. "

At Nub News we are hoping to go along to meet Pat and her castle as soon as we can - meantime we thought it was time everyone had the chance to see her incredible work.
