Mourners are invited to attend the funeral of one most respected Frome residents this week : The co: founder of Frome Collegians John Fuller

The funeral will be held this week of a former Frome person of the year the co-founder of the Frome Collegians John Fuller.

John, who was voted the town's person of the year in 2017, was a hugely popular individual, so many people would have been expected to be at his funeral.

However due to coronavirus restrictions, numbers will be strictly limited, so people have been invited to pay their respects by joining the service over the internet.

John, who had just turned 90 died on October 30 and was the longest serving member of the Collegians and their former physio.

But he was not just supportive of rugby and was a key member of the Frome sporting community for more than 60 years, volunteering for the local judo, boxing, gym, swimming, basketball and cricket clubs.

He remained a Collegians committee member and a part of the grounds team, and would even, until very recently, be at every match.

John's funeral will take place on Thursday 19th November at 13:45 in Wiltshire.

The ceremony will be streamed. Frome Collegians, will post a link for the stream will be posted on the day, but here on the second image are the details that have been supplied by the club.
