Christmas Workshops

Local charity Julian House is hosting a series of festive themed virtual workshops to boost community spirits and bring the community together.

Back by popular demand, the Christmas workshops, will take place online from 9th December to 16th December and will see numerous local organisations donating their time and skills to host a workshop for everyone to enjoy. From a Christmas themed quiz hosted by comedian Dr Phil Hammond and a virtual wreath workshop from Copper Green Flowers to a virtual Neal's Yard pamper evening by Happy Hare, a festive yoga workshop from Bright Blue Yoga and a snowball shortbread workshop with Sugarcane Studio.

Members of the public can sign up to take part in any workshop just by donating to Julian House. They will then be sent a Google Meets invite to join the session.

The donations raised by those taking part will go towards supporting extremely vulnerable people and children who are experiencing homelessness and/or escaping domestic abuse. With the public's donation and support, Julian House can ensure it's there to support individuals and families when they need it most.

Jessica Gay, Senior Community and Event Fundraiser at Julian House said: "This year continued to have its real challenges. We hope these virtual workshops will go some way in bringing people together and lifting spirits – all for a good cause."

The workshops are open to everyone and members of the public can sign up online here.
