On Wednesday 13 June officers received a call at 23:10 from a farmer in Frome that a burglary was in progress. Two males had gained entry to an outbuilding and were in the process of taking a number of tack items.

Response officers located the silver car that the offenders fled in; however the occupants were nowhere to be found. Horse tack and other riding equipment were located in the back of the vehicle and we're in the process of returning these goods to their owner.

PC Katy Drabble said: "This is a great result for the community; we know that thieves target rural locations and we want to send a clear message to offenders preying on these communities that we are here. The farmer was very pleased to hear the news that we had recovered his goods."
