The Frome RFC 3rd XV were in league action on Saturday when they travelled to Glastonbury to face Tor RFC 2nd XV.

The match started with Frome receiving the kick off and despite persistent phases of play from Frome it was Tor that managed to turn over the ball and took an early lead.

With some quick passeges of attack it was soon another try for the hosts. Tor managed to hold off the frome attack in the first half.

After the break, Frome continued with some strong carries from the Forwards managing to gain some vital meters over the game line.

With some swift hands off the top of a line out, Frome shipped the ball wide and found themselves pressuring the Tor defence 10 meters from there try line. A quick inside pass found Prop Will Witt with a crash ball over the try line putting Frome on the score board.

However Tor were dangerous across the park, and quickly retaliated adding more points to there lead throughout the second half.

From a penalty decision Frome again attacked the Tor defence and after multiple phases gained the chance to move the ball wide leaving George Taylor to score in the corner. Toby Reilly coverting to add a few more to the board.

The game ended with a final score for Tor from a chip and chase over the top. Final score 54-12 To the hosts.

Special mention to Will Witt and Geaorge Taylor (try scorers) and Jason Bullus (Player of the match ) and Kye White, returning player and debut for Frome RFC 3rds.

The Frome RFC 3rd XV are next in Somerset 3 South league action on Saturday 8th January when they welcome Wincanton RFC 1st XV to The Lane.
