The Frome Mayor has applauded a lovely intitiative by Frome's first pay it forward cafe.

Anyone who may be on their own on Christmas Day can join the team at the Good Heart cafe for an on-line meet up.

The cafe posted : " 2020 has been a year of challenges and uncertainty for all of us. Would you welcome an uplifting moment, or just some company, on Christmas morning? If so, you're warmly invited to join us on Zoom from 10.00 – 11.15am for a celebration of kindness, the true spirit of Christmas. "

The event, is open to all, non denominational and free of charge.

They say people can join them for the whole session or just drop in when you can. Please bring a candle to light together at 11am.

The cafe, run by Tibetan Memories will be closed for the holidays from 24 December to Sunday 3 January. From Monday 4 January it will reopen from 12 noon to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday. Please contact Namdi on 07908 139 244. The cafe now offers both a takeaway service plus a few safely-distanced tables indoors.
