Somerset Highways is warning motorists that it will be closing a key route in Frome for 22 days.

Work is beginning on Welshmill Lane in Frome from July 13.

There have been angry comments on social media because, with the centre of Frome currently closed to through traffic, it is one way to get across town.

One resident posted: " Are they taking the mickey? "

The town centre is being closed to cars for a total of eleven weeks, with work beginning on June 22. That work is currently scheduled to finish on October 19.
