Anti vax demonstrators told to move away from Frome College grounds

By Susie Watkins 8th Feb 2022

Frome College has criticised the anti vax protestors who harrangued students last week and again today (February 7).

In a letter to parents and carers the Principal said that a number of students had been upset by the protestors, who last week challenged students on the approach to the college.

Today they were further away.

In a letter today Emma Reynolds wrote:

"As you may already know, last Friday we had a number of anti- vax protestors on and around college site at the beginning of the college day.

"Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion on vaccines, this was most unhelpful and upset a number of students and staff at a time when we are working hard, in the face of high levels of staff absence, to keep college open to all students.

"I must also remind the community that college site extends to the end of the driveway beyond the leisure centre and that any activity which disrupts the safe and calm passage of students, staff and families, will be challenged and individuals asked to move off college property."
