Has a clearer timetable been set for work to start on the controversial development of Saxonvale, along with work on another Frome site ?

Frome Town Council has published a £65,000 bid contract for a regeneration vision for the disused Western Warehouse and the former Notts Industries offices at Saxonvale in the centre of Frome.

According to bid details: "The work will involve taking the emerging vision and the feedback from community engagement, evaluating the potential of the buildings and adjoining proposed public square to deliver on this vision and develop costed concept design options. The work is to RIBA Stage 2 (Concept Design)."

According to Architects Journal a successful bid will be decided 50 per cent on methodology, 20 per cent on experience, and 30 per cent on value for money. The deadline for applications is 5pm, on 27 August.

If successful the contract start date will be 10 September and will end on 30 November.

Details on the open bid is published HERE: the government contract finder site
