Asda has announced that it is limiting sales of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers.

The supermarket announced the move today (February 21) in response to worries about supplies.

The full list of products which shoppers are being limited to buying three of are, according to the BBC: tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflowers, salad bags and raspberry punnets.

Extreme weather in Spain and north Africa, have impacted the harvests coming out of those countries, with supplies due to be low for several more weeks.

Other supermarkets, such as Marks & Spencers in Frome, had plenty of tomatoes and lettuces today, with the company saying they have sourced from other markets not hit by bad weather.
