Authors confirmed for Frome Festival Vanguard Readings

Vanguard Readings is a free monthly literary salon based in London, which provides a platform for new and emerging writers alongside established authors.

The Frome Festival Vanguard Readings will take place on Friday 5th July from 7pm to 10pm at the Archangel and is a free event.

The writers are now all confirmed, and feature three published and three unpublished authors.

Set up in 2011, Vanguard Readings has toured the salons in Grasmere, Birmingham, Hay-on-Wye, Margate, Norwich, Leeds, Ludlow, Manchester, Salisbury, Brighton and Harlow, widening access to disadvantaged communities, giving voice to diverse voices.

This event is curated and hosted by Frome writer, Hannah Cox, and showcases the work of six local authors.

The published authors include:

Local writer Frances Liardet – Frome based – whose new book, bestseller 'We Must Be Brave' has been exceptionally well received, and is published globally by Penguin and Harper Collins.

Christopher Wakling – Bristol-based, with several best sellers, his latest published by Faber and Faber.

Richard Skinner who runs Vanguard Readings, novelist, poet and Faber Academy Director.

The unpublished authors are all Frome-based.
