Bath Road in Frome closed due to accident

Two fire crews from Frome attended a two vehicle crash on Bath Road early on Monday afternoon. On arrival crews confirmed the crash, between the two vehicles, had left one person was still trapped in one of the vehicles.
Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the casualty who was then given to ambulance staff for medical treatment. The collision was close to Frome College and the road remained closed to all vehicles in both directions. All the school buses were re-routed and those on foot redirected away from the scene towards Frome Medical Centre.
