Choirs in Frome are being given the chance to perform with Brit award-winning vocal trio Blake when they return to the town later this year.

Shortly after gaining their first gold disc and a Brit award in 2008, the singers decided to show their support for choirs in communities around the UK by inviting them to join their live tour shows.

The successful local choir, chosen via audition video, will not only sing with Blake on stage at Frome Memorial Theatre on 18 September but also perform a solo piece of their choosing.

Blake's Humphrey Berney told Frome Nub News: "Blake are really looking forward to coming to Frome and performing at the Memorial Theatre in September, it's such a beautiful part of the world and the audiences are always so warm.

"As a group we love working with local choirs and hope we can find one to join us on stage for this concert.

"We find the choirs are so full of energy it's a joy working with them."

Celebrating almost 15 years of performing together, the classical artists are bringing a brand new UK show 'Live in Concert' to Frome.

Featuring a return to some of their most popular songs from their early albums, along with unique contemporary acoustic covers, the boys from Blake promise to be at their boldest and best.

Any local choir wanting to submit in an audition video should contact Alex Hopkirk by emailing [email protected].
