Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters will be coming to The Merlin in Frome on September 2nd and 3rd.

Based on the book from his famed Discworld series, it is a dream job for the director Frome's Scott Ward, who told Nub News; " I'm a huge fan of Sir Terry and have been wanting to direct one of the plays based on his works for a long time and I've finally got the chance to do just that.

"I've roped in some of the best performers in Frome to help bring this story or murder, witches, kings, and destiny to the Ecos outdoors stage at The Merlin, which provides a magical atmosphere to a wickedly funny pastiche of Macbeth while adding a Pratchettesque social commentary that is just as relevant today as it was when the book was written in 1988. "

All performances will be in aid of running the magical Frome Merlin Theatre and the license fees paid to perform the play go directly to a charity that Sir Terry supported during his life, the Orangutan Foundation.

Tickets are on sale at merlintheatre.co.uk - £12 for Adults and £10 for concessions. The play has a recommended age of 12+ and all Pratchett fans of all ages.

And remember There are times in life when people must know when not to let go. Balloons are designed to teach small children this.

Sir Terence Pratchett who died in March 2015 was a humourist and satirist and the author of fantasy novels including his best known Discworld series of 41 novels. But what is possibly less well known is that he started his professional life as a journalist, and did some stints at The Western Daily press.
