There has been another arson attack overnight in Frome; once again along Selwood Road.

At half past three this morning (February 21) one fire appliance from Frome attended a vehicle on fire, which then started to spread to a second vehicle. Crews arrived and requested assistance from a second appliance from Frome for personnel and water supplies.

The fire was in close proximity to a third vehicle and a building. Crews used one hose reel jet and one main jet to put the fire out, which was believed to be deliberate ignition.

On social media there is now a reward being offered for any help in finding those responsible. That has been offered, and in strictest confidence, by those who owned the car which was set alight.

But there is already a reward being offered by Crimestoppers to catch the arsonist who is believed to have been behind many Frome fires, including one just over a year ago which gutted the local butcher H. E. Williams.
