Chair of Mendip District Council and Frome councillor has joined the Lib Dems

The Frome Oakfield councillor, who has been representing the ward since 2007, has moved to join the Liberal Democrats.

Chair of Mendip District Council, Cllr Helen Sprawson-White, who was previously an Independent Councillor, has joined the Liberal Democrats as of Saturday 19th September 2020.

This alters the political make-up of the Council to:

24 Councillors are Liberal Democrat

11 Councillors are Conservative

10 Councillors are Green Party

1 Councillor is Independent

1 Councillor is other
