A young family in Frome have put out an urgent appeal after they woke this morning (December 22) to find themselves without their vital means of getting to work.

Just three days before Christmas their van has been stolen - meaning no way to get to work for the young father - whose partner has just had a baby. They are wondering how thieves could be so heartless.

Their van a silver coloured Ford Transit, which they took out a loan to buy, was taken in the early hours from their home in Rowan Court Road Frome,

New mum Kirston Neville told Nub News: " It had nothing worth stealing inside as we have only just saved up to get it. Devastated doesn't even cut it just before Christmas. My partner now can't even get to work."

The couple discovered the van missing early this morning, and with her not working are facing a bleak Christmas ahead.

If anyone has any idea where it has gone or has any information where it might be found, they have asked them to contact the police. The registration number for the van is GRZ5513, the crime number to contact the police is 5221299332.

The family need to get to Bradford on Avon every day where her partner has a job making cake toppers.

She added: " He now has no way of getting too work other than the bus which doesn't actually go to his work location, so would have to bus and then taxi - which we can't afford to do. I just can't believe how people can be so heartless."
