Christmas present in Frome : But Big Christmas Get Together will not be a together event
Parking became free in Frome this weekend - but if Mendip were hoping it would spread festive cheer they may be disappointed.
A number of events have been cancelled due to the rising number of coronavirus cases.
As Frome Nub News reported all the church carol services in the outlying villages of Mells, Buckland Dinham and Great Elm have been cancelled.
Then yesterday (December 18) Frome's Big Christmas Get Together was changed so there will be no face to face event. Organisers posted: " It is with a heavy heart that due to the surge in Covid 19 both nationally and locally" it was reverted to hamper deliveries which will be dropped to guests on Christmas Day.
The news came as Frome Medical Practice opened to a booking-only vaccine booster session at Enos Way.
