Coronavirus update : Frome College pupil has positive test but has not been on campus

As per coronavirus tracing rules, Frome College has alerted all parents that today (November 3) they have been told one year 13 student in the college has tested positive for coronavirus . Adding that the student who has tested positive has not been on the college site this term.

Public Health England advised the college to contact all those young people the student has identified as socialising with over the half term holiday.

Those identified students have been sent off site to self-isolate and they have contacted parents.

The college remains open.

What to do if your child develops symptoms of COVID 19

If your child develops symptoms of COVID-19, they must not come to school and should remain at home for at least 10 days from the date when their symptoms appeared.

All other household members who remain well, must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days.

The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill. Household members should not go to work, school or public areas and exercise should be taken at home.
