Frome Town has cancelled its match tomorrow.

The Club initially said the match up at Badger's Hill, which was offering free tickets to veterans, would go ahead. But the teams would not shake hands.

But the Southern league have now confirmed that all fixtures between 14-21 March will be postponed. The league will meet again on the 20th March to review the situation. At this moment the end of season date will remain the same.

It followed the announcement that the Premier League, the Football League and the Women's Super League have suspended all matches until the weekend of 3-5 April in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

In other COVOID 19 news: Active in Touch Frome, the charity which helps combat loneliness, has decided to suspend all its group meetings from next week until the foreseeable future, but will continue to offer one to one support.

Meantime a top tip seen on social media that antibacterial gel can bought from pet shops doesn't appear to be the case in Frome's biggest central shop.

The owners told Nub News: " Just goes to prove social media is mad, we have never stocked it."
