In planning news in and around Frome this week.

The London company which had put in plans to build 38 homes at Fortescue Fields in Norton St Philip has withdrawn the application.

There were 61 tabled objections to the development on Mendip's planning site.

The plans, which also included a multi use community building, new public open spaces and car and cycle parking, were opposed by the local parish council. Details can be seen under the application reference 2019/2976/FUL

An application to make adjustments to doors and windows, internal alterations, remove a rear brick chimney stack and raise the rear roof at The Full Moon Inn Rudge Lane in Rudge have been approved.

An application has been put in to build a new detached two storey four bedroom dwelling and single open carport on plot to the rear of Cherry Tree Cottage High Street Faulkland Frome. Ref. No: 2020/1072/FUL

Springwater Farm on Anchor Road in Coleford has applied to build a single detached residential dwelling and garage. Ref. No: 2020/1033/FUL

The owners of Springfield Lodge on Frome Road have applied to build a detached garage. Ref. No: 2020/1040/HSE

An application has been put in to replace part of shop window to create new door and corridor to allow for access to the residential flat above existing retail unit at 20 Paul Street in Frome
