A Frome nurse who started her new Ear Wax Removal clinic just nine months ago, is asking people not to neglect other health issues now the news is dominated by coronavirus.

Nursing sister Teresa Munro, who was trained at Guy's Hospital in London, set up the Somerset Ear Wax Clinic in response to the fact many surgeries no longer offer this gentle but essential service.

Teresa who works from the Frome Medical site on Enos way said: "I have been a Nursing Sister for over 30 years and have done all aspects of nursing including lots of ear irrigation. I am fully trained and have just completed an update training course . Ear wax removal by irrigation is a gentle and effective way of removing wax by using a pulse of warm water ."

The results are impressive: clients telling her that they are able to hear clearly. The Frome nurse added: " They say it's a pain free and quick procedure that's usually over in minutes."

There are some conditions for which irrigation is not suitable- and she would discuss this before any procedure and she also undertakes pre audiology checks.

You can contact Teresa Munro on : 07962 106045 or by email:[email protected] Teresa added: " I am very happy to discuss any queries or concerns either by email or on the phone ."
