Doorstep Carols on 16 December with FromeFM

FromeFM will be broadcasting a Christmas carols sing-along show on Wednesday 16 December at 6pm. With massed gatherings, lights switch-ons and town centre carols events cancelled across the land, there's a risk that Christmas 2020 could be very quiet. FromeFM is going to be playing their part to change that by encouraging people to come out on their doorstep on 16 December for our very own socially distanced festival of carols.

Graham from FromeFM said, "All you need to do to take part is download the carol lyrics from doorstepcarols.co.uk, tune into FromeFM on 96.6FM or online at frome.fm at 6pm, and sing your heart out! For the musically talented amongst the residents of Frome, the sheet music is available from the same website.

"What would be even better is if people invited their neighbours and the whole street to join in. The Doorstep Carols website has downloadable invitations that you can use."

If you're taking part in the merriments, please do so safely. The government rule for Frome in Tier 2 is: " You must not socialise in a group of more than six people outside, including in a garden or a public space."

Doorstep Carols is an initiative that was started by Shropshire Festivals, and has since gone nationwide. Let's all bring a bit of festive cheer to our little corner of Somerset.
