Vallis First School has an amazingly active Eco Council. Representatives from each class are passionate about encouraging the school to reduce 'single use plastic'.

They carried out a recent survey and were really pleased to report that children across the school are using reusable water bottles and snack pots.

Unfortunately, the school milk comes in small plastic bottles but these don't go to waste at Vallis! The children are amazingly creative, using these for a variety of craft activities.

The Eco Council's next challenge is to reduce the amount of plastic used to store fruit and vegetables. They are excitedly writing letters to local supermarkets to encourage them to reduce their use of plastic too.

Well done Vallis! We are very proud of how hard you are working to reduce single use plastic.
