Precise figures have been produced for the numbers of people who have died in Frome and the surrounding area.

Figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show, for the first time, deaths at a local level for people who have contracted Covid-19.

The deaths, reported by postcode area, have been kept vague for confidentiality reasons, but show no deaths in and around Frome.

The statistics listed are for deaths where Covid-19 was the underlying cause or was mentioned on the death certificate as a contributory factor, between March 1 and April 17.

The data can be seen on the official site - where you search by postcode. Here: the ONS site.
