Fair Frome have announced that they are looking for new premises. The organisation currently provides Food at Five, Holiday Hunger and many other initiatives. However, since its formation eight years ago, Fair Frome is best known for organising the Frome Food Bank.

The Chair of Fair Frome is Bob Ashford said: " Since we started, we have been incredibly fortunate in having such wonderful and supportive landlords as the Frome Town Council. However, the demand for our services has steadily increased and our current building is no longer fit for purpose. An increasing demand makes relocating to bigger and more suitable premises a priority."

To help in their quest for new premises, Fair Frome have now joined up with Rotary in Frome and Frome Lions Club in launching plans for a Legacy Project, in this, the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Year.

Becky Bird is the President of Frome Town Rotary and said: " Rotary in Frome are excited to be supporting Fair Frome in launching plans for a Legacy Project in this very special year,' said Becky. 'We wish to support Fair Frome in developing improved facilities to meet the growing needs of the community. The food bank, furniture bank, and vital support services are much valued resources in our town. Frome has a huge strength in this central resource which is used daily by many. Rotary in Frome have worked for a number of years, volunteering, funding services and supporting events to sustain this organisation."

The President of Frome Lions Club, Greg Wood added: " Frome Lions Club are delighted to be supporting Fair Frome in launching plans for a Legacy Project in 2022,' said Greg. 'The food and furniture banks and the other vital services Fair Frome provide are both needed and valued in our town. Frome Lions have worked alongside Fair Frome for a number of years, organising events and providing funding as the needs of our community have grown and we are pleased to continue to do so. Both Rotary and Lions hope that the town, individuals, companies and other charitable groups will also lend support to make the dream come true and provide a lasting resource for generations to come, creating a community support hub accessible to all."

Bob Ashford and his fellow trustees at Fair Frome are extremely grateful for the support offered by both Rotary in Frome and the Frome Lions Club.

"The ability of Fair Frome to provide the crucial services to the community that we currently do, only happens because of the incredible help and generosity of the people, businesses, charities and other organisations based in the town, such as Rotary in Frome and Frome Lions Club, "said Bob. "We are now putting out a very special call for help to everyone in Frome. "To move forward on the Legacy Project, we need new premises. To date we have been unsuccessful in finding an appropriate new site. We are now asking individuals, businesses, developers and any other organisations to let us know whether they have or are aware of any site or building that may be suitable for our need. We are looking at all possibilities, whether leasehold or freehold land or buildings. Our ideal new premises may even be part of an existing business that is underused or disused. Hopefully, there is a piece of land or site somewhere out there in Frome that would suit our needs and at the same time provide a proper and fitting Legacy Project."
