If you are keen to hear the story of Fair Housing for Frome and the people who are behind it, now's your opportunity. Frome FM, known for high quality broadcasting and championing local causes, has granted us a monthly slot on the station and we have risen to the challenge of bringing our latest news to local listeners.

The January episode of the aptly name 'Housing Hub' recorded under safe lockdown conditions, introduces our key projects like Tiny Homes and the new Homeshare Mendip scheme which launches in February. Also featured is an update from Roger Saunders from Frome Area Community Land Trust discussing their plans to build genuinely affordable homes in the town.

One of our big projects for early 2021 is revealed by Fair Housing for Frome's development worker Steve Tanner as he talks about the all important Housing Needs Survey, a joint effort by ourselves, the Community Land Trust, Frome Town Council and Mendip District Council to get surveys out to about 13,000 households in Frome. Steve talks about this and how people can get involved and have their say.

The show also features an interview with Frome-based professional actor Dan Gaisford who discusses the work behind a project he has been involved with during lockdown. It's called 'Unknown' an audio production about homelessness, which was written with the collaboration of some of Bath's rough sleepers.

The first Housing Hub show presented by Polly Lamb on Frome FM will be broadcast this Tuesday 5th January at 1pm just after All About Frome. The show will be repeated at 3pm on Monday 11th January and Friday 15th January. Frome FM is available on 96.6FM or online by clicking HERE : the Frome FM site

Housing Hub on Frome FM will broadcast monthly, if you have a story or viewpoint and would like to get involved get in touch with us at [email protected]
