Fourteen year old Frome fundraiser will leave Cornwall on Friday

By Susie Watkins 26th Aug 2021

Frome teenager Gil is polishing his bike and doing some last minute maintenance ready to set out on his epic charity bike ride, alongside his firefighter dad, from Lands End back home.

The fourteen year old will be leaving Cornwall tomorrow (August 27) cycling around 120 miles a day to raise money money for Bliss and the Firefighters charity .

Gil Endicott chose the charities because he himself is a triplet, born at 28 weeks and Bliss supports premature and sick babies, and their families.

The Writhlington School pupil, who will start Mendip Studio School in September, has already beaten his £1000 target as he completes his ride.

Gil plays rugby for Frome, is a young leader at 10th Frome Scouts and a member of Midsomer Norton judo club, while also part of the Combined Cadet Force at Writhlington.
