30th Jan 2020 | Local News

Frome Town Council is working with the National Energy Association charity to provide free energy training. The training will cover domestic energy use, how to reduce energy bills and how to encourage and enable people to act on energy-related advice. The training is for anyone who wants to support people in their local community to reduce their energy bills and carbon emissions.

Frome Town Councillor Rob Collet said:"Understanding how energy systems work in our homes and how we can reduce energy costs is vital in addressing both fuel poverty and the climate emergency. As well as providing this overview the free training will also explore barriers that householders experience in taking action and how we can overcome these. This will help to reduce fuel poverty and the health-related impacts of cold and damp homes which range from high blood pressure, heart attacks and pneumonia."

The training takes place from 9:30am to 4.30 pm on Tuesday 25th February at Frome Town Hall. Refreshments and a vegetarian lunch will be provided.
