Forty years after serving the people of Frome with bags, fine goods, toys and teddies, there are rumours that the former premises of Amica on Cheap Street will be becoming a bar.

When Amica announced it was closing, after decades as a Frome favourite, there were hundreds of comments from customers saying how upset they were - especially leading up to Christmas.

One post summed them up : " So sad, this was my favourite shop for toys and treats and all the presents for Christmas."

There was also much praise for their 'tempting' window displays.

Frome Nub News will try and find out more about the plans for Number 11-12 Cheap Street.
