Frome fire crews were called out on Hallowe'en to a fire in a home in the town. They were out at a fire within the dining room of a mid terraced house in Wallbridge Avenue involving Halloween decorations.

The Devon and Somerset force said that the fire was caused by a candle tea light placed inside of a plastic Hallowe'en skull.

The home suffered some damage from the blaze, but most, 60%, of the fire damage was caused by the smoke.

Crews extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet, thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure fan. The cause of the fire was accidental.
