One of the local area's longest running family businesses is back open – following a turbulent year

Bath Theatrical Costume Hire, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, provides costumes and fancy attire for TV and film productions, seasonal events, theatre performances and private parties.

Managing Director, Rusette Auton, said: "What a year it's been?! The pandemic has challenged us all to think about how we live our lives and the way in which we interact with others.

" For us, a Theatrical Costume Hire company serving the entertainment industry, it's been the most challenging 12-month period since we first opened our doors in 1969. But, we've survived and we're back!"

Specialists in fancy dress costumes, theatre productions and period weddings, Bath Theatrical Costume Hire started small above a hairdresser on the London Road in Bath and now has over 30,000 costumes in stock.

"Bath Theatrical is like no other business" added Rusette, "It is perhaps our quirkiness that has helped us ride the economic changes of the past 50 years, and the pandemic challenges of the last 12 months.

"Need a costume for a production, play or performance? Get in touch!"

Bath Theatrical Costume Hire is back open by appointment only at Unit 8, Wallbridge Industrial Estate, Frome, BA11 5 JZ.
