A Frome bookshop has started a big fundraiser to show support for England footballer Marcus Rashford AND get his motivational book into little Frome hands.

The talented footballer and food poverty fighter's book - You Are a Champion - will be give out to young readers.

The independent book shop Hunting Raven is hoping to give 200 books away with help from the public - and they have already more than doubled their original £1,000 target.

They explained their motivation:

" Marcus was already a hero in our eyes - for all that he has done and for all that he stands for. His maturity in the wake of the European final and all that followed is yet another mark of this young man's formidable character.

"Which makes his motivational book for young readers all the more prescient. "

The shop has teamed up with Fair Frome and and Purple Elephant to distribute copies and have been backed by Frome Town Rotary with a donation of £500 to kick things off.
