In a letter to parents, Frome College said that it has been told by Public Health England that there are two coronavirus positive cases within the student body.

The College has written to them to say that they will remain open but that they will keep the situation under review.

There are over 1,200 students at the college, aged 13 to 18.

In a letter sent this afternoon (October 8) the Principal wrote:

"We have been advised by Public Health England that there have been two confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the college. We are continuing to monitor the situation.....

Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.

" The college remains open and, providing your child remains well, they can continue to attend school as normal. We will keep this under review."
