Frome's community radio station has been quick to end rumours that it was being taken off air for any reason other than a mistake.
In what directors have said was " an administrative error" the popular station, based out of Frome Town Hall, went off air on October 21, although it was still broadcasting archive programmes on line.
Today the directors put out a brief statement.
"The directors of FromeFM have announced that the radio station has
temporarily ceased transmissions on 96.6fm. The online service atwww.frome.fm/listennow will continue as normal.
"The license to transmit on FM has been suspended due to an administrative error beyond our control and we hope this will be resolved as soon as possible.
"Please continue to make and send in your programmes. They will go out online but not on fm. Programmes transmitted to date will continue to be available on Mixcloud, FromeFM apologises to its listeners and the members and volunteers and is doing everything possible to get back on the airwaves.
For further information, please contact [email protected] and we will get back to you. "
