The river levels around Bradford on Avon have fallen slightly today (January 3) but the Environment Agency is warning that tomorrow with more rain forecast, a flood warming remains in place.

There are currently five flood warnings around Somerset.

Closer to Frome there is a flood alert in place for Feltham Lane at Frome, the A362 at Wallbridge, the access road to Peradins at Freshford and the Westwood to Freshford road. Bankfull conditions are forecast at Farleigh Hungerford with a risk to property at Nunney, Vobster and Spring Gardens.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Bristol Avon, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around properties at the Bullpit in Bradford on Avon.

Specific areas include Greenland Mills, Norden, Grist Court, Kingston Square, Bridge Yard, Lamb Yard, Bridge Street, Silver Street, St Margarets Street, Church Street and Pound Lane.

The other warnings are for West Moor, Curry Moor and Hay Moor with the River Tone expected to flood.

The agency say they are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor pumping stations, and Currymoor when river levels allow. The Parrett Relief Channel is also being used to evacuate water away from the Parrett-Tone confluence.

A warning to drivers heading that way : Consider weather conditions, local water levels, and any flood plans. Do not attempt to drive or walk through flood water
