Fabulous Frome Children's Festival has the town singing along the river with a colour-full day of events

By Susie Watkins 24th Jul 2023

The Frome Children's Festival may have had the odd down pour but no one was raining on the purple parade of free activities from the Cheese & Grain along the river and into Welshmill Park on Sunday.

Everyone was having a joyful time, with theatre, music, shows and activities including the ever-popular zip wire across the river.

If YOU enjoyed it and want to see it come back next year then the charity hopes you can help make it to their anniversary year with even a modest donation helping them reach that goal. That will be the tenth year of the event which in 2023 also included a forest school, science and sports, magic, a sensory tent and this year a silent disco.

To make sure it is truly accessible the team don't have stalls selling things (other than food and drink) and they work hard to make sure that as many activities as possible are suitable for children with additional needs.
