Crews from Frome attended a caravan on fire on a lane just outside of Frome today (November 14).

The caravan appeared to have been abandoned and deliberately set alight. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet, one 45mm delivery, one drag fork, and one thermal imaging camera.

The incident was declared closed at 5pm.

But the crews were out again less than an hour later with an appliance from Frome initially mobilised following a report of a fire at a caravan site in Coleford.

A second appliance from Frome was also mobilised along with a third from Shepton Mallet was mobilised.

The crews worked for several hours on the fire, which left a coach and caravan one hundred percent destroyed, while a neighbouring caravan was damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
