The fire service was called out this morning to Wessex Fields on Marston Road. Two fire appliances from Frome attended a vehicle smoking on a petrol forecourt. Crews swiftly located the fire within the engine bay and extinguished it using one hose reel jet and electronic cutting equipment. The vehicle was removed from the forecourt and the cause of the fire was deemed accidental. The vehicle, a van, sustained minor damage to the engine bay. Duty of care was left with the owner and site staff.
