Frome Fireworks Cancelled

Frome Town Council have cancelled tomorrow's fireworks display after severe weather warnings were issued.

A statement from the town council said: "It is with regret that we have taken the decision to cancel the fireworks following a discussion with the fireworks company and the Met Office. There is a Yellow Weather Warning in place with gusts of up to 40mph and we can not guarantee the safety of our staff or volunteers as we set up.

"It is not a decision that we have taken lightly and we will take a decision around rescheduling in the week...watch this space."
