Mendip business grants available to Frome firms

Frome businesses eligible for a business grant are being urged to submit their details online. The funding is in the form of a grant, not a loan, so companies will not have to pay it back.

The appeal comes as Mendip District Council announced a milestone this week; some 80% of all eligible businesses have been issued business grants and £26 million has gone to 2,000-plus organisations to date.

Leader of Mendip District Council, Cllr Ros Wyke, said: "Any business that has not yet applied should do so today, and get the money they are entitled to. Forms are easy to complete.

"These are grants, not loans. No business will ever be required to pay back this funding.

"We want to see our high streets open again across Mendip. This funding will help businesses return, and breathe life back into our villages, towns and city."
