The owner of Frome company has been recognised for Outstanding Achievement for her work for a hair-loss charity which helps little girls.

In recognition of her charity and campaigning work, Laura Lewis of Flawless Extensions of Frome was honoured at the grand final of the Platinum Beauty Awards at the Guildhall in Bath. She was given the award even though she wasn't even aware that she had been nominated.

Laura said: " It was so lovely, I had no idea there was an award for that so it was such a lovely surprise."

Laura has been campaigning and raising awareness for the Little Lady Locks hair charity.

She explained : " It makes bespoke mesh integration systems and wigs for children with hair loss, mostly children suffering with childhood cancer. I am extremely proud of what it does and it means so much to me due to suffering my own hair loss and my childhood best friend who lost all her hair to cancer and unfortunately her fight with cancer. It is extremely close to my heart and I'm so honoured I get to help these beautiful children. "
