Frome shops and businesses continue to open this week with the local Iceland supermarket offering a 20 per cent discount to all NHS workers all this week.

One of the shops to re-open under the new coronavirus government guidelines was the local hardware store, Millers, with strict social distancing in place. The shop is open from 10am until 4pm every day.

Next door the popular Cordero Lounge is open for takeaways, with a shortened menu. Customers can order on line or by phone or inside with, again, strict social distancing in place. They are also offering a 25% discount for NHS workers and will donate a money to the charity Age UK for every burger they sell. You can phone them on 01373 472029.

Meanwhile Nub News has been in touch with Greggs about any plans they have to re-open.

A spokesperson for Greggs said: "We have planned and delivered robust shop trials using our new operational safety measures and they have progressed well allowing us to now move to open an increased number of our shops from mid-June".

But due to what is expected to be huge demand the company, which has over 2,000 branches across the UK, is not releasing which sites that will include.
