Councillor Val Keitch, Somerset County Council's Lead Member for Local Government Reorganisation and Prosperity, said: "From Exmoor to Taunton and Wells to Burnham-On-Sea – there are so many brilliant spots in Somerset to enjoy, all of which offer something different for families and friends.
There are many reasons to choose to stay more local: it reduces your travel time, which is better for the environment, and means you can spend less on fuel. However, after a tough couple of years, our local economy would really benefit from it too – and that helps to support all our communities."
