Say cheese - and a lot more besides.

The weekly Frome market will be coming again this Saturday to the car park in the centre of town, with traders hoping for slightly less blustery weather this week.

A reminder that the market is run by and for independent traders and Frome Nub News is not alone in finding them not only super friendly, but with lots of food and goods you will not find elsewhere.

And yes we do like cheese.

The stallholders are as diverse as their product lines and include the wonderful Trinidadian cook with his Doubles - again the best we have tasted outside of Tobago airport !

Part of the Mendip markets family Frome is one of seven weekly stall markets across the district . These markets sell Somerset produce, food and drink, crafts and a range of general items.

Frome is earning a well-deserved reputation as a food hub - and has a thriving cafe culture - but could it do more?

Frome Nub News will shortly be reporting on the Frome Food Network and a report compiled by Hugh Thomas, who is a co-ordinator for its work, on how the town can make food more sustainable and hyper local - all within a reasonable cost.

You can read more about him and his work HERE: his work site

Meantime the market is on until early afternoon alongside the library.

Thank you to Katy Harris, who is a Vegan and Vegetarian Chef

and behind the super tasty Katy's Kitchen, Frome, who will also be there.
