Frome MP David Warburton, at centre of sexual harassment and drug allegations goes into psychiatric hospital

Updated: The Frome MP has today been admitted to a psychiatric hospital for severe shock and stress.
His office told Nub News there would be no further comment at 14:20 pm today April 3. Telling Nub News : " Nothing further to add. "

News about allegations against the Frome MP David Warburton flew around the town today, as several newspapers headlined with stories about him allegedly taking drugs and behaving inappropriately to several young women. The MP has had the Conservative party whip withdrawn while the allegations are investigated, although he is quoted as saying he will defend any claims vigorously. David Warburton who has been the Somerton and Frome MP for the past seven years, has been accused of sexual assault/ harassment of three women, reportedly working alongside him in political office, while a the newspaper also showed the MP allegedly sitting alongside lines of cocaine. Frome Nub News has visited both his constituency home and appealed to his press officer, and wife, for a comment, as well as approaching the Somerton and Frome Conservative Party Office. Until 2pm there was no statement from any office. He was a student of the Royal College of Music and when he left tried to make a living as a composer, but then moved to teaching. The 56 year old has represented Somerton and Frome constituency since 2015 and has a majority of 19,213. The newspaper also carries a report that he was given a loan, since repaid, from a Russian businessman of £100,000. Within an hour of publication the Wiki page about the MP was changed to reflect the scandal and on Saturday the MP's Twitter account was deleted. The Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme (ICGS) is a confidential body which investigates bullying, harassment and/or sexual misconduct complaints against staff in the House of Commons or House of Lords and includes MPs, and MPs' staff with investigations carried out by external independent investigators.
