Frome mum Emma Endicott now has three wise nearly men, but their arrival into the world was very frightening.

Which is why every day until until December 19 you might spot her out running, raising money for the neonatal intensive care unit in Bath which cared for them 14 years ago.

Emma explained : " My boys were born on 12th December 2006, 12 weeks early weighing 1lb 9, 1lb 10 and 2lb 14. I left hospital on 19th December but had to leave my boys there for another ten weeks."

The proud mum has now been running five kilometres every day since the date they were admitted (November 11) to raise more funds for the RUH unit. On that original homecoming date -19th December - she plans to run and walk from Frome to the city hospital (which is about 20 miles) to deliver a hamper of goodies for all the NICU staff and families for Christmas.

Emma is joined on her daily exercise by friend Carolyn Read . You can donate to the NICU appeal by clicking HERE :

One of those who donated writes on the page : "Our little boy spent seven days in RUH NICU when he was born in 2015 and they do an amazing job. Thank you for doing this."
